SOMEWHERE Conversations | Workshop #12: Life as a Curator

22. October 2013 @ 10:00 - 11:00

Free

Hey curators, hybrids and freelancers working within Berlin’s art sector: join SOMEWHERE’s upcoming Conversations event!

Conversations is a team-based workshop format that brings together like-minded people to exchange inspirations & knowledge on work practices, processes, techniques, methods, tools and rituals. It’s all about sharing and gaining inspiration and knowledge among like-minded people and starting your working day in an energising way.

For this edition of the Conversation series SOMEWHERE’s Nina Bulsche and freelance curator/arts educator Kate Martin will lead the discussion around the following freelance curating, arts management and cultural production work topics:

  • How do you organise yourself on a daily basis? How do you manage to break down all activities such as organising, researching, administering, networking, teaching and more?
  • How do you market your practice & communicate to people what you do?
  • How do you determine your value and negotiate fees?
  • What are the methods & sources you use to develop and realise new projects?

So kick-off your day with coffee and energising post-it sessions in this unique 1-hour workshop full of knowledge sharing and connecting with others in your field.
