A book and film presentation with an artist talk between Nika Radić and Tevž Logar
Nika Radić worked on the project “The Message” for several years, examining how communication through art can work. She built an installation together with almost thirty, very diverse participants from the art scene.  A book had been published and a film made showing the results of this experiment.
An abstract construction was made at the beginning, that was similar to those Nika Radić made after graduating from the art school. Afterwards, different people that professionally work with arts (artists, curators, gallerists, also collectors) were invited one by one to see the installation and give an interpretation of what they see. After each conversation, Radić changed the installation so that it, in her opinion, looked more like what she has just heard. The process ended when the last three visitors expressed the same opinion. They said it was an installation about the private and public life, as well as being set up as a performative space. During the conversations, it often happened that people saw elements of the installation that corresponded to their own interests at the time. In this way, the work became a cross section of the current topics in contemporary art.
The participants were: Annie Davey, Branka Benčić, Olivia Reynolds, Sandra Križić Roban, Ursula Lücke, Kathy Rae Huffman, Martina Mezak, Susanne Gerber, Eckhart Gillen, Goran Tomčić, Judit Boenisch, Yuri Leiderman, Pierre André Podbielski, Christian Falsnaes, Maja Škerbot, Lovro Artuković, Stephan Gripp, Henrik Sundstrom, Kate Mar¬tin Brehme, Nina Kurtela, Vanini Belarmino, Nick Crowe, Miško Šuvaković, Katalin Timar und Marjetica Potrč.
