3rd Edition of Weddingmarkt: Sunday 3 March 2013

On Sunday 3 March, the 3rd edition of Weddingmarkt will take place from 12-6pm at SUPERMARKT. Weddingmarkt is a platform and market place showcasing the best local artists, designers and fashion designers. For sale will be high-quality designer products from over 50 labels, including “Eboys”, “Schmierfinken“ and Anne Grön. Most of the products will be ‘Made in Wedding’ – made with love by Wedding’s own creatives and artists, but as with the first two editions of Weddingmarkt, there will also be guest stalls by artists from other districts around Berlin.

Behind many of the Weddingmarkt products is the theme of upcycling, and transforming the use of existing resources. Numerous designers use everyday items and reinterpret them in creative ways to form new, innovative products. For example, old suitcases become designer speaker covers (sinusoidal case), colourful fruit juice packaging become unique contemporary wallets (simply needles) and the dishes of “URBANcarpentry” promote a balanced diet. Come and see for yourself!
